The National Network accelerates learning, collaboration, and research for participants at various stages in their Cardiff Model implementation in the U.S.

Meet Our Leaders

Dr. Daniel T. Wu and Dr. Jennifer Hernandez-Meier co-founded the Network and have supported the US translation of the Cardiff Model since 2015. The Network's co-chairs regularly volunteer their time to support Network expansion, meetings, and site implementation.

Network Founder/Co-Chair

Daniel Wu, MD

Grady Memorial Hospital and Emory University

Daniel Wu, MD, is an emergency physician at Grady Memorial Hospital, professor at Emory University, and early champion of the Cardiff Model site in Atlanta, GA. Dr. Wu earned his MD at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his emergency medicine residency at Cook County Hospital. He is a mentor to many and member of the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine. Dr. Wu believes the Cardiff Model is key to violence prevention in the U.S.

Jennifer Hernandez-Meier, PhD, MSW

Medical College of Wisconsin

Jennifer Hernandez-Meier, PhD, MSW, is an Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) and an early champion of the Cardiff Model site in Milwaukee, WI. Dr. Hernandez-Meier earned her Doctorate and Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from University of Wisconsin, Madison. Jennifer Hernandez-Meier has dedicated her career to violence and injury prevention, serving as a leader in many communities.
